Dogs Policy
Rule: Pets on Leash in Common Elements
For the safety, comfort, and enjoyment of all residents, all dogs must be kept on
a leash and under the control of their owner or handler at all times when
on the condominium’s common elements. This includes, but is not limited to,
hallways, lobbies, elevators, stairwells, parking areas, landscaped areas, and any
other shared spaces.
• Retractable leashes must be locked at a reasonable length to maintain
control of the pet.
• Owners are responsible for ensuring their pets do not cause disturbances,
damage, or pose a risk to others.
• This rule does not apply to service animals as defined under the
Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA) or the
Ontario Human Rights Code. Service animals are permitted in all
common elements when accompanying their handler.
• For administrative and safety purposes, residents who require a service
animal for medical reasons are requested to inform the Condominium
Manager and provide identifying details of the animal (such as breed,
color, and, if possible, a photo). This information will be kept on file
for identification only and treated as confidential.
Failure to comply with this rule may result in enforcement actions in accordance
with the Condominium Act and the condominium corporation’s governing
documents.
